March 28, 2001 - December 15, 2022
21 Years
Caleb Paul Ens was born in Mexico City on March 28, 2001. He was welcomed by his parents, Paul and Cindy, and there was much joy as he joined the family. His brother Micah was thrilled to have another boy in the family of girls! The Ens family lived in Mexico for much of Caleb’s childhood, and there are many happy memories of Caleb and his growing up years in Mexico. Caleb began his relationship with Jesus at the age of four; this set the foundation of his passionate love of Jesus that existed until he drew his last breath. Caleb loved to worship, to tell others about Jesus, and to invite them to join in the Christian life.
When the Ens family returned from Mexico to settle in Saskatoon, Caleb attended the Saskatoon Christian School. Following his graduation, he attended the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. He was blessed by the opportunity to grow in his faith through this experience.
Following his return from California, Caleb began work as a carpenter’s apprentice, and later working with drywall as a mudder and taper. Soon after his return, he became engaged to his high school sweetheart, Hannah Ashby, and they were married in July 2022. Hannah and Caleb loved to share their home with family and friends, and it was a joy for them to begin the adventure of their life together. Caleb experienced both great struggles and great joys throughout his life, loving those who he held close with great sincerity.
Caleb went home to be with Jesus, the true love of his life, on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Hannah; parents Paul and Cindy Ens; his siblings Kirsten (Corbin) Chau, Micah (Hannah) Ens, Eliisha, Arianne and Kiana Ens; his grandma Carol Ferguson; Hannah’s parents Jeff and Carlamae Ashby, her brother Josh Ashby and her grandfathers, Donald Lewis, and Ivan Ashby.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Jake and Marion Ens, his grandfather Richard Ferguson, and Hannah’s grandmothers, Linda Lewis, and Phyllis Ashby. His many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins will forever love and miss him.
