Dear Aunt Hilda and Cousins. We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Leo’s passing in late October. That my family left SK for BC and AB when I was 8 years of age – my memories are few though are fondly recalled. I remember a twinkle in his eye, an easy laugh, a sharp mind and personable way of being with folks. I spoke with Uncle Leo several years ago after his brother George passed away. He was so easy to visit with and we conversed for a long while, catching up on family and times gone by. He was so very proud of you all! And I am sure you know that. While time, distance and circumstance have separated us all, know that a special place in my heart is held for you now in the time of loss and always. I know that he is resting in a painfree and peaceful place leaving behind the challenges of what it is to be human. May you find solace in your memories and knowledge that he touched many lives. Mine included. Sending love and prayers of healing, Catherine Burdett (Vogelgesang – Auntie Annette’s daughter)
