Our condolences to Reighan , Mike and extended family members. Many years ago when our children were young, Crystal was 4, we went on a 2 week vacation to Hawaii. Joanne was our sitter, Reighan was the assistant! Our kids loved Joanne’s chocolate cake. She introduced them to peanut butter sandwiches with slices of dill pickles! Crystal was a bit ticked off because Joanne got the kids to make their beds including Crystal. Joanne teased her of course “spoiled!” Reighan and Crystal grew up together and remain best friends to this day. We had many good times at many occasions. We will miss you Joanne! Please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of your sister. Having grown up across the street from the Parenteau family on Lorne Avenue and going to school with Joanne both at Buena Vista and Nutana I have many fond memories. As the years passed we lost touch with each other only to be reconnected many years later through my marriage to Harv Britton and then finding out that she and my husband are related. A great neighbor, that turned in to family. A mentor and great company throughout my teen years. A few heartwarming chats throughout our adult Years. I didn't make it for coffee like I said I was going to. Im sorry. You will be missed by so many, though it warms my soul knowing the opening arms welcoming you in the sky.. She was a loving and caring friend. I’m so shocked at losing her. She talked fondly of all her family and was so proud of not only her beautiful daughter but all her nephews and great nieces and nephew. We talked all the time over the phone. I’m sure going to miss those conversations.I know she’s with her departed mom, dad and niece with no limits to her physical self. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss.

I am just in shock at the passing of Joanne. My Mother, Marie Bienvenue, and Joanne were the best of friends for years. Joanne and Mom loved going to bingo together. When my Mom moved to Edmonton to be closer to myself and our family, Joanne used to come and visit us. Mom and Joanne always talked on the phone. My Mom passed away three years ago but Joanne and I have always kept in touch on Facebook. My very deepest condolences to Reighan and the entire family. Joanne was such an amazing lady. She will be dearly missed by so very many people. RIP my dear friend ❤️❤️❤️

When we lived in Duck Lake, I appreciated her stories and laughter while ‘doing coffee’ at local restaurant near high way. Im certain the community will miss her greatly. Condolences to her family and friends.
