I first met Betty when she came to our apartment in Regina. She and Jake had travelled from their home to introduced Joel to his brothers. Linden's, Wayne, and Roy. It was just amazing to see how Joe completed our family. He looked like a cross between Linden's and Roy and sound and act just like Wayne. Betty, and Jake were so very gracious and lovingly shared "their son" with his biological family. Since then I had the privilege of becoming come close to Betty.
Wayne, baby Ryan (6 months old) and I met Betty, for the second time, before Joe's marriage to Maureen. That was 48 summers ago!
Betty was always the most gentle and kind spirit. She was so gracious with us and I felt immediately not only welcomed to her home but at peace.
I had the pleasure of meeting Betty and Jacob's 5 children. Maria was 5 at the time. They were just lovely.
Over the years I have had contact with Betty in am endearing manner. I will miss her but I truly believe she will be with her husband and her children for the eternities.
