Rob, Elaine, Bobbi Jo and Travis, I was so hoping this wasn't your Preston when I saw the original post from Winnipeg. I cannot begin to imagine your heartache and devastation, or his wife and son's. I have fond memories of when you lived right behind us. I still have the picture of Preston and Evan playing in your basement before they could even crawl. My prayers are with you.

I did not know Preston personally nor his family but what I do know is how destructive PTSD can be and the toll it can take on families & loved ones. I am so glad to hear that more supports will be put in place for those who are or will be struggling. It is too late for my family but I pray that many who are suffering in darkness will be helped so that they do not feel alone. No family should experience a loss such as this. Rest In Peace Preston.

Elaine, Robert and family, I was so saddened to read of the passing of Preston. I had the pleasure of getting to know Preston while I was working at CIBC. I remember having several interesting conversations with Preston as a young man and was so happy for him when his dream of becoming a firefighter became a reality. I always appreciated getting updates on Preston when you came to the bank Elaine and the love and pride you and Robert had for him was heart warming. I am sure you are overwhelmed with grief and the coming days and weeks will be a struggle to navigate. Please know you are in my thoughts at this difficult time.
