20 Years
Jacey was taken from us way to soon in a tragic accident, on October 5, 2024, her passion and zest for life will never be forgotten!
Jacey Ann Hunter was born May 18, 2004, at 9:07 am at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon SK. Jacey was raised in Saskatoon until April of 2009 when our family moved to Rosthern, SK to be closer to the family farm. Jacey attended Rosthern Elementary school from kindergarten to grade 5, followed by Rosthern High School from grades 6-9 then continued her Highschool education until graduation at Rosthern Junior College. Jacey worked hard at her school which seemed to come easy to her. She had a special way with words. She did well at expressing her feelings, her thoughts, and stories that flowed seamlessly from her mind.
After Jacey graduated from high school, she continued her education at the University of Regina/ Polytechnic in the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBNScN). Jacey was in her 3rd year of her nursing degree. One thing to know about Jacey is that she lived to help others. She wanted nothing more than to become a Pediatric nurse, dedicating her life to caring for children and making a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.
Sunsets, stars, and northern lights were her favorite things. She spent many nights staring at the beauty of these, whether it was in the back yard, out on a back road, or pulling over to take it all in.
Jacey was always seen in her blue crocks or moccasins, lulu leggings, and a crop top it didn’t matter the weather. For some reason she never admitted she was cold!
Sunflowers, her favorite flower, have a special meaning, they symbolize happiness, positivity, cheer, good health and hope. Jacey designed her own tattoo of a sunflower and wore it proudly as a reminder every day.
Jacey is our ladybug, when she was little, we often found many ladybugs in the house, it took us a long time to figure this out. We finally realized Jacey was the reason for all the lady bugs, she was bringing them in to keep them close to her.
Jacey had an unbelievable zest for life! When she entered a room, everyone knew it was her! It didn’t matter if it was at a rink or a store, Jacey’s loud voice could be heard. She spoke her mind; let you know what she thought and didn’t care who heard. She was goofy, sometimes childish, unbelievably stubborn, and full of life. It didn’t matter who you were she loved everyone!
We will miss Jacey’s laughter, smile, her Jacey way, the way she loved, and her amazing blue eyes.
Until we are all together again,we LOVE YOU FOREVER LADYBUG!
