Obituary of Dora Bartel Friesen

February 15, 1924 – December 11, 2012 The death of Dora Bartel Friesen, age 88 years of Saskatoon occurred on December 11, 2012 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. Dora will be remembered by her love, compassion and caring spirit. She is survived by her loving children: Bob (Dorothy) Bartel, Vivian (Wayne) Dyck, Les (Evelyn) Bartel, Ralph (Janet) Bartel, Ken (Luella) Bartel; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister Helen (Jake) Enns; brothers, Paul (Alice) Wieler, Fred (Betty) Wieler, sister-in-law Elfriede Wieler; step-children, Russell (Lucille) Friesen, Denise (John) Bartel, Judy (Kevin) Barre and their families; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bartel and her second husband, John Friesen. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Zoar Mennonite Church, Waldheim, SK with Rev. Ben Pauls and Rev. Verner Friesen officiating. Interment will take place at Waldheim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, (Well Project) 600-45th Street, W., Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern.
