Obituary of Elma Braun

Elma Braun 1939 – 2012 Elma Braun passed away peacefully with family by her side at Rosthern Union Hospital on Saturday April 14, 2012 at the age of 72. Elma was born in Gruenthal, SK on December 10th, 1939 to Henry H and Helen Siemens. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob J Braun, her parents Henry and Helen Siemens, her sisters Edna (Hamm), Ann (MacKenzie), Tena (Fehr), Martha (Dyck), her brothers Corney, Henry and George (Grace) Siemens, brother-in-law Jim Klassen, nephew Rodney Hamm, her parents-in-law Jacob and Maria Braun, sister-in-law Mary Braun (nee Bartch), and brother-in-law Cornelius Friesen. Elma is lovingly remembered by her children, Lloyd (Bonni), Danny, David (Corinne), Julie, her grandchildren, Celynne (Lee), Cody, Nina (Michael), Brandon, Ashley (Ashton), Denalle (Andrew), Carmen (Colin), Cassidy, Jayde and Morgan, and great-grandchildren, Addie and Annika, sisters Mary Klassen, Sarah Wiebe, Nettie (Dave) Friesen, Peggy (Henry) Hamm, Eva Dyck, and brother John (Sharon) Siemens, in-laws Tena Siemens, George Fehr, Gary Mackenzie and John (Marlene) Dyck and all the Braun in-laws and numerous nephews and nieces on both sides. We would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Rosthern Union Hospital for the care and compassion that was shown to mom during her stay there. Public viewing will be held at Funk’s Funeral Home, 1010 – 7th Street, Rosthern from 1 – 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Hague Cemetery.
