Obituary of Elma Bergen

April 6, 1928 – May 8, 2014 Elma Verna Bergen passed away peacefully on May 8, 2014 at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern. She was the daughter of the late Emma and Cornelius Friesen and was also predeceased by her brother John Friesen. She is lovingly remembered by Bill, her husband of almost 65 years, her children: Valerie (Cal) Strom, Sandi Bergen, Bill (Marcia) Bergen, Lorna (Steve) Duncan; her grandchildren: Tim (Carolyn) Strom, Daygen Strom, Sarah (Dan) Chajka, Mitch Strom (Jesse Haga), Jonathan Bergen, Hannah Bergen (Peter Kazman), Tori Duncan, Kieran Duncan; and her great-grandchildren: Annika and Linnea Strom. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Nutana Park Mennonite Church, Saskatoon with Rev. Anita Retzlaff officiating. A private burial will take place at Rosthern Cemetery prior to the Celebration of Life. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern (306 232-5245, www.funksfuneralhome.ca).
