Obituary of Helen Wiens / Willems

February 1, 1924 – February 25, 2013 The death of Helen Willems, age 89 years of Pioneer Lodge, Waldheim, SK occurred on February 25, 2013 at Rosthern Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Patricia Slimmon (John Blacklock); granddaughters, Dr. Cindy (Brad) Hansen, Diane (Trevor) Richardson and their boys, Jacob and Tyler; son-in-law, Doug Renwick; sister Mary Neufeld; brothers, Henry Dyck, and Alvin (Janet) Dyck. She was predeceased by her husbands, Irvin Wiens (1986), Menno Willems (1991); parents, Peter & Helen Dyck; daughter Darlene Renwick; grandson, John Renwick; sister, Katherine (Earl) Thomas; brother, Bernard (Lyla) Dyck; and brother-in-law, John Neufeld. Grandma’s greatest hope is that her family and friends will accept the Lord as their savior, and join her in heaven. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mennonite Brethren Church, Waldheim, SK with Pastor Greg Wiens officiating. Interment will take place at Waldheim Cemetery.
