Obituary of Harold Gipman
October 3, 1935 – February 21, 2016 The family is saddened to announce the passing of Harold Gipman, age 80 years, on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Rosthern Hospital surrounded by family. Left to celebrate his life sons Bernie (Jo-Anne), Byron (Penny); his daughters Bernice (Ken Klimm), Beverly (Dave Green); grandchildren Amanda (Peter Mitchell), Cody, Jordan, Jax, and William. Harold is predeceased by his wife Frances; parents Otto and Katie; brother Alan, and infant sister Mildred. Harold was born and raised in Garrick, SK. He then married the love of his life Fran Hanson and they had 45 beautiful years together. The family moved to Rosthern, SK where he worked and retired as Town Foreman. Mom and Dad spent many many memorable years at the cabin at Anglin Lake. This was Dad’s true passion. Fishing with family and friends and his favorite saying “2 bits for the 1st fish”. Dad was blessed and fortunate to have many close friends that were dear to his heart. The family would like to specially thank Lillian Larson for her enormous heart and compassion especially over these last 9 weeks. The family would also like to thank all the staff at Rosthern Hospital for taking such good care of Dad. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February26, 2016 @ 11:00 A.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, 1010-7th Street, Rosthern, SK.
