Obituary of Jona Janzen

January 29, 1938 – June 17, 2013 The death of Jona Janzen, age 75 years of Hague, SK occurred at Rosthern Hospital on June 17, 2013. He is survived by his: wife Kathy; daughter Karen Bortnak – Jordon, Joel and Josh; son, Jona Janzen; siblings, Mary (Dave) Penner, Helen Hamm, Tina (Aaron) Friesen, Nettie (Abe) Hamm, Henry (Nettie) Janzen, Isaac (Marylou) Janzen; sisters-in-law Anne Janzen, Tina Miller, Hedy Janzen, Anne Janzen. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter W. and Agatha (Olfert) Janzen; step-father, George Rempel; daughter, Katherine; brothers, Abe, Jake, Pete (Helen), John, Bill, Frank, and twin brother Joel; sisters, Maria in infancy, Anne (John) Sawatzky, and Betty (Abe) Friesen. A time of viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 8:00 P.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, 1010-7th Street, Rosthern.
