Obituary of Rita Loewen

July 19, 1921 – May 11, 2012 The death of Rita Anne Loewen, age 90 years of Saskatoon and formerly of Waldheim, SK occurred on May 11, 2012 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon. She is survived by 4 children and their spouses: Carol (Brian) Neabel, Connie (Orville) Vanneste, Howard Loewen, Brenda (Merlin) Moffat; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Trudy Peters and Anne (Frank) Barclay; and sister-in-law, Kay Penner. She was predeceased by her: husband, Harry Loewen; 4 brothers, Henry, Erwin, Hugo and Peter Penner; sister, Frieda (Pete) Pollack; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Peters. Friends are invited to join the family for a viewing time, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 7:30 P.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Church, Waldheim with Rev. Darrell Derksen officiating. Interment will take place at Salem Cemetery.
