Obituary of Mary Alice Gamble

September 11, 1923 – February 13, 2014 Mary Alice Gamble passed away peacefully on February 13, 2014 at the age of 90 years at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home, SK. Left to cherish her memory is her family: children Cookie (Angus) Esperance; Almida Gamble; ‘Butch’ Roland (Angela) Gamble; Gillis (Kay) Gamble; daughter-in-law Jeannette Gamble; 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her: son Wayne Gamble; parents Joe & Adele Gamble; brothers Josie, Hector, Arsene; sisters Flora Mike, Mary Rose Longjohn, and Emma Gardypie. The Wake Services were held on February 15 – 17, 2014. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Phong Tran on Monday, February 17, 2014. All Services took place at Beardy’s & Okemasis Rec. Centre, Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation, SK. Interment took place at Beardy’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Nolan Esperance, Damon Iron, Corey Esperance, Marlin Gamble, Tommy Esperance, Kyle Gamble, Connor Esperance, and Skylar Gamble. The honorary pallbearer was her long time friend, Therese Seesequasis. Arrangements were in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK. A special thank you to Maureen Esperance – Kinequon, Val Loewen, Char Teichroeb and all the staff of the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home for your wonderful care of Alice.
