Obituary of Sarah Konrath

August 31, 1920 – January 24, 2013 Sarah Konrath passed away at Porteous Lodge, Saskatoon on January 24, 2013. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tiefengrund Rosenort Mennonite Church, northeast of Laird, SK with Pastor Russ Friesen officiating. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Anna (Friesen) Konrath, four brothers and in-laws, Abe (Sarah), Dave, Pete and John (Ada); four sisters and in-laws, Annie (Bob) Nye, Tena (George) White, Helen (Bert) Giles and Margaret Redekop. She leaves to mourn a sister-in-law Doreen Konrath and brother-in-law Henry Redekop, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sarah was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan on August 31, 1920. She was caretaker for the Carlton School and did a lot of painting of houses in the Carlton area. She moved to Saskatoon in 1979. She enjoyed her Bingos and Casino over the years. Interment will be held in Tiefengrund Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be designated to Tiefengrund Mennonite Church. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
