Dear Davina, Christian, Tina and Fehr Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. We loved the times we spent with Helen. Picnics, dinners, art galaries, news paper clippings, books, and conversations. We will never forget Helen’s visit to Rideau Hall in Ottawa. International incident averted. She was an extremely generous woman. Her commitment to the lives of children was inspirational. A famous Ottawa news anchor (Max Keeping) always ended his nightly broadcast with this motto “make a difference in the life of a child”. Helen embodied this motto whether teaching, raising a family, sponsoring others, or just modelling her beliefs. We appreciated that she was a community builder, woman of faith, heart and soul. We will miss her.
