Obituary of Samuel Wendland

September 13, 1931 – August 10, 2016 The death of Sam Wendland, age 84 years of Waldheim, SK occurred on August 10, 2016 at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home, SK. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Wendland; children Joyce (Emery) Laskowski; David (Debbie) Wendland; Pearl (Garry) Bergen; Joan (Stuart) Bolan; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Martha Wendland, brothers, Ed (Margaret), Bill (Lil), Rhienhold; sister Alice (Jake) Klein; and infant brother Eugene; and grandson James Laskowski. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at the Zoar Mennonite Church, Waldheim, SK with Pastor Ben Pauls officiating. Interment will take place in Waldheim cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sask Valley Hospital Foundation Inc., Box 93, Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
