Obituary of Florence Martens

May 16, 1923 – September 22, 2020 Florence Martens (nee Rudolph) born May 16, 1923, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Duck Lake Goodwill Manor. Florence has now re-united with her husband Art who passed away in December 2000. Florence had a wonderful childhood growing up on the family farm north of Hague. She was first married to John Martin in the 40’s and together they had three sons. John died in 1978 and she remarried to Art Martens in 1982. She worked hard to provide a better life for her three sons. Her favorite job was working retail in the ladies clothing department at “Friesen’s Famous Furniture City” where she worked for 25 years. Florence is survived by her three sons, David (Bunny), Ronald (Marguerite), and Allan (Wendy); sister Mary Bowen of St. Albert, AB; and 25 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Due to Covid 19, a private family service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. In mom’s memory, please consider a donation to Goodwill Manor Care Home, Box 370, Duck Lake, SK S0K 1J0.
