Dear Elena, Thora, and Jon, First of all, I wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure he will be greatly missed. You don’t know me at all, but my husband’s mother was cousins with your grandmother Tobba. About 10 years ago, we were in communication with your Grandmother and Father re family histories/stories etc. Many years have passed, life got busy and we lost touch. The other day I was looking through some of my papers and came across an email that your dad sent and I decided to get in touch with him. Sadly it appears, I am too late. I hope this does not seem too impertinent… I was wondering: Your dad mentioned that he had a picture of the Arngrimson family home in Iceland; if you happen to find it, I wonder if you would mind scanning it and sending me a copy.
