Obituary of Iris Pochipinski

June 21, 1936 – October 11, 2013 We the family, announce the passing of Iris (Oresia) Pochipinski on October 11, 2013 after a valiant struggle with brain cancer, surrounded by her family. Iris was born June 21, 1936 in the Sniatyn district to Wasyl and Mary Huziek (Markowski). She met Joe Pochipinski in January of 1952, and were married on October 4, 1953. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Joesph Pochipinski of 60 years; 2 daughters and 3 sons: Judy (Jim) Trippel, Joanne (Gary) Yourkowski, Rick (Dianne) Pochipinski, Kelly (Becky) Pochipinski, Jody (Shirley) Pochipinski; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Andrew (Olga) Huziek, Peter Huziek and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Wasyl and Mary Huziek; sisters, Lena, Anne (Steve) Lepitzki; brother, John (Jean) Huziek and sister-in-law Adeline Huziek. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Vicar General Fr. Maurice Fiolleau on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Both Services will be held at St. Odilon Roman Catholic Church, Rosthern. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rosthern Hospital Foundation, Box 88 Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0 or St. Odilon Roman Catholic Church, Rosthern.
