Obituary of Darlene Klassen

January 3, 1953 - November 8, 2021

Darlene Klassen was a loving, joy-filled woman who loved her family and the Lord. She touched the lives of many and was loved by all. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 8, 2021, at the age of 68.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Edwin, 4 sons, Darren (Kelly), Brent (Cindy), Keith, and Kenton (Kalena); 8 grandchildren, Jada (Cole) Martens, Kaela, Brielle, & McKinley Klassen,  Mesele & Abinet Klassen, Temina & Elena Klassen; her mother Marie Neudorf; her siblings, Connie (George) Reddekopp, Dale (Joy) Neudorf, Kevin (Brenda) Neudorf; her in-laws John (Shirley) Klassen, George (Marge) Klassen, Carol Klassen, Wes (Verna) Klassen; and many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her father Peter Z. Neudorf; her mother and father in-law John and Justina Klassen; her brothers in-law Don Reddekopp, and Henry Klassen.

Grandma always liked the outdoors. Ever since she was young, she was her dad’s right hand. Going outside and helping him in the barn, the fields, and anywhere else her help was needed. She loved to do anything with her family, this resulted in Jan Lake fishing trips. Fishing, boating, pictures, and visiting were the focus of the weekend.

Grandma was a very grateful person. She kept good record of all she was gifted. She knew who gave her which plants in her garden. Her genuine character and her big, welcoming smile were known to many.

Passion of Grandma’s were very clear to all. She loved her and Grandpa’s Sunday drives, gardening, holidays, pictures, flowers, inukshuks, and birds. While these were all important to her, what she loved the most was her family.

Visitation and viewing will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 7:00-8:30P.M. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. The viewing and funeral will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, Neuanlage, SK.
