Obituary of Montgomery Grant Smith

November 9, 1951 - February 13, 2022

It is with much love and deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Monty Smith at the age of 70 years. 

He will be missed by his wife of 50 years, Anne-Marie; children: Clayton (Michelle), Laurie-Anne (Frank), and Kimberly (Cameron); grandchildren: Cassandra (Shihab), Carmen, Shaya, Cash, and Mason; sister: Wendy (Doug); mother-in-law Cecile Mariani; brother-in-law Phillip (Lorna); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.  

Monty was predeceased by his parents: Pauline Wiens and Cameron Smith; sister Beatrice; nephew Cameron; father-in-law Paul Mariani; and brother-in-law Denis.  

A private gathering will be held at a later date, at the Horse Lake Mennonite Cemetery.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Rosthern Hospital for their care and compassion.
