Obituary of Donna Henderson-Castle

January 30, 1953 - April 19, 2022

69 Years

At sunrise on April 19, 2022, Donna passed away at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern at 69 years of age. Tim Castle, her husband of 35 years was at her side.  She was also survived by both her children Michael and Erin, all three of her younger siblings Ellen, David and Joan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Lorna Henderson.

 

Donna had a long career as an Occupational Therapist, including many years in the Saskatchewan Valley area. When at home, she always welcomed family and visitors alike to join her for a walk in the woods. She is remembered as an independent spirit, a loyal friend, and a loving mother, wielding her chainsaw and baking the famous Henderson birthday cake with equal confidence.

 

Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Donna’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer Society,  the Rosthern Food Bank, or the Rosthern Station Arts Centre.
