January 9, 1937 - August 26, 2022
Monique Ranger, 85 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Rosthern, SK on August 26, 2022. She was born in Storthoaks, Saskatchewan on January 9, 1937, to a large family consisting of her parents Stella (Labonte) and Gerard Beaudoin and 11 other siblings. Her faith in God and devotion to Mary, were a foundation throughout her life. She was musically gifted and could play a variety of instruments including the piano, guitar, and accordion. She shared this talent in a variety of parishes as an organist. She was an excellent teacher who impacted countless students during her career that spanned over three decades.
Although Monique was a shy person once she was comfortable with you her sense of humour and quick wit would be shared generously. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and playing cards. Monique’s creativity and artistic abilities were evidenced in many ways including through her sewing and scrapbooking. She enjoyed playing baseball and watching sports, such as curling and figure skating. She loved animals, especially her cats. Her empathetic nature led her to feed and shelter any stray cats that ventured to her doorstep.
She is survived by her musical companion and husband of 49 years Omer Ranger and three children, Shirley (Wilfred) Moccasin, Robert (Michelle) Ranger and Norman Ranger as well as her five grandchildren Zachary, Micah and Remi, Jordyn and Tristan. She is also survived by siblings Gerarda Ostiguy, Laurentia (George) Bubbley, Euclid (Yvette) Beaudoin, Marilys (Ferdinand) Coulombe, Marielle Coulombe and Aurele Beaudoin.
